I am not familiar with the author Nina Rhodes. Since i grew up in New York I would like to read her books. “A Tree Grows In Brooklyn” is a favorite book since it is about growing up in Brooklyn.

I really enjoy D.E Stevenson’s writing. The “Listening Valley I suggested to my friend and she found the book enjoyable.
