I’m so excited that you guys have put this challenge together! I see many summer reading lists, but they are always contemporary books. My sweet spot is older/traditional middle grade, so you guys have set me up for an exciting summer of reading. I have some of these books on my shelf already, a few of which I’ve read. I have others ordered and on their way. Some are not findable for me, but I will keep my eyes peeled at used book sales. Thanks for the great summer reading challenge! Every one of these titles has been added to my TBR, whether I get to them this summer or not.

Hi Anna Rose, I ordered four Geraniums and they are a bright red They love the heat so they should survive any extreme hot spells. I have a new lawn mower to try out. The old mower died. The grass needs a cutting and I will cut it this week. I am the official mower. I am reading “An Unquiet Soul” by Margot Peters. It is the life of Charlotte Bronte. I am finding it quiet enjoyable and interesting. Enjoy your gardening reading. Thank You for the recommendations .

Congratulations on the award for “The Star That Always Stays” Some of your suggestions we have.
We have planted a few pansies and Geraniums. The Lily Of The Valley and the Azalea bushes are bloomed. The Rose bushes are budding.
i am reading “Middlemarch” Very hard read and very long.

I grew up in the shadow of Sleeping Giant mountain in Hamden, Connecticut, which is the one Eleanor Estes wrote about in The Sleeping Giant. I never heard anyone else reference it before. I actually still have many of these books in the Scholastic Book Club edition, since I am vintage myself.
I live in Michigan now, and enjoyed your book, Anna Rose.
