I keep getting Family Sabbatical from my library! I haven't read it though. My younger siblings love it. I flipped through it a few times. I also read and liked the one about the pink motel recently, it reminds me of a 50s movie. It's interesting that while Brink was mainly known for Caddie Woodlawn she had alot of other books that were just as good.

I read TIME AT THE TOP years ago, and Ruth Sawyer's Roller Skates back in middle school. Love Enright and Brink as well. If I didn't have to keep up with new books, I would only read vintage titles!

Thank you so much for suggesting “The Sea is All Around” by Elizabeth Enright. I remember reading that book, but although I have collected all of Enright’s books throughout the years, I don’t have this one.

I know that there was someone who was planning to write a biography of Elizabeth, and had collected lots of info and even done interviews with her friends and relatives. But it appears that the project has not gone forward. 😫 That makes me very sad.

If you’d like to update me or chat about Elizabeth (Bitsy to her friends), please feel free to contact me! I’m the only person I know who even knows who EE is!
